Privacy Policy
BrickPong for iOS · Last updated 12 August 2026
BrickPong (“the app”) is an iOS game published by Nick van den Hoven. This policy explains what information the app handles, who handles it, and what choices you have.
- There is no account. No sign-up, no login, no profile.
- Your game progress never leaves your device.
- The app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and Google collects information about your device in order to serve it.
- The app sells optional in-app purchases. Apple takes the payment; we never see your payment details.
- You can refuse personalised advertising, and change that choice at any time.
Information stored on your device
Level progress, scores, stars and settings are saved locally on your iPhone using Apple’s standard app storage. This information is never transmitted to us, and we have no means of reading it. Deleting the app deletes it.
Advertising
BrickPong is free to play and supported by advertising served through Google AdMob.
In order to select and deliver ads, Google may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA or IDFV)
- your IP address, and an approximate location derived from it
- device model, operating system version and language
- which ads were requested, shown, viewed or tapped
Google acts as an independent controller of this information. Its handling is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not receive, store or have access to this information about any individual user. We see only aggregate reporting — totals such as impressions and revenue.
Purchases
The app offers optional in-app purchases: packs of Chips, the in-game currency, and a one-off purchase that removes advertising permanently. Nothing in the app has to be bought, and the whole game can be played without spending anything.
Apple processes the payment. Your card details, billing address and Apple Account are handled by Apple and are never sent to us or shown to us. We receive only Apple’s aggregate sales reporting.
To keep track of what has been bought — so that a purchase survives reinstalling the app and can be restored on a new device — the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous identifier it generates for your installation, which is not linked to your name, email address or Apple Account
- the App Store receipt for any purchase you make, and its later status — for example if it is refunded
- your device model, operating system version and country
We do not ask you for a name, an email address or any other identifying detail, and we have no way of connecting that anonymous identifier to a person. Restoring purchases associates your installation with what your Apple Account already owns; it does not disclose your Apple Account to us or to RevenueCat.
Refunds are requested from Apple, not from us. The app’s
Settings › Manage purchases screen opens Apple’s own refund
flow.
App Tracking Transparency
Before the app can use your device’s advertising identifier, iOS asks for your
permission. If you decline, the app works exactly the same and you will still see ads,
but they will be less relevant. You can change this decision at any time in
Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app presents a consent form the first time you open it, provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform. You may accept or refuse personalised advertising. Your choice can be reviewed and changed at any time from the app’s settings screen.
Children
BrickPong is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Analytics
The app uses no analytics, attribution or crash-reporting service, and collects no usage data of its own. It does not record how you play, how long you play or which screens you open.
The only services the app contacts are the two described above: Google AdMob, to request advertising, and RevenueCat, to keep a record of purchases. Neither is used to build a profile of you for us, and neither reports anything about an individual player back to us.
Your rights
We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. The one identifier this app causes to exist is the anonymous purchase identifier described under Purchases; if you would like it deleted, write to the address below and say so, and we will ask RevenueCat to remove it. Deleting the app also ends its use.
For information Google holds, refer to the Google Privacy Policy linked above. You can reset your advertising identifier at any time in iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes what it handles, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it.
